Water-Soluble Support Material – Clean & Efficient Post-Processing
One of the most distinctive features of Mimaki’s 3DUJ printers is their use of a water-soluble support material that simplifies the finishing process and preserves delicate geometries.

How It Works:

During Printing – The printer automatically builds temporary support structures using Mimaki’s dedicated support resin alongside the colored model.

Post-Print Removal – Once printing is complete, the model is submerged in circulating warm water or placed in an ultrasonic bath.

Support Dissolution – Within a few hours, the support material fully dissolves without the need for manual scraping or chemical solvents.

Final Rinse & Drying – The model is rinsed clean, revealing unsupported overhangs, internal cavities, and ultra-fine details in pristine condition.

This method minimizes labor, eliminates surface damage, and preserves color integrity—making it ideal for complex parts with internal structures or fragile finishes.
