Authorized Mimaki Dealer · Machine Selector

Build Your Print Operation

Tell us what you make. The selector scores every North American Mimaki system against your work — categories, ink chemistry, media, and width — and ranks the machines Amcad & Graphics recommends. Prefer to browse? See the full lineup directory.

What do you want to create?

The same first question a good equipment consultant asks: what will you actually sell? Select every application that applies — it carries the largest share of the match score, and you can come back and change it anytime.

Let's get more specific

Select all that apply, or skip straight to results — anything you leave open stays neutral in the score.

Ink Chemistry Any

The biggest fork in the road: chemistry decides what materials you can print, how the graphic survives outdoors or the wash, and what finishing steps you skip. Hover any option for the plain-English version — or leave it open and let your applications steer it.

Print Width Any

Buy for your largest routine job, not your largest-ever job. Oversized machines still qualify — they’re flagged as room to grow.

Media & Substrates Any

Pick the materials you’ll actually run. Any platform that physically can’t print a selected substrate is ruled out — the counts show what each choice leaves on the table.

Ink Chemistry Requirements Any

Dealbreaker capabilities that come from the ink configuration, not the printer chassis. Most platforms run several ink sets — a machine qualifies only if at least one of its configurations delivers every requirement you select.

Your ranked matches

Each card explains why it matched. The color dots show every channel the platform can be ordered with — tap or hover any dot for what it does. Tap any ink pill for the full chemistry breakdown; the ink set changes what the machine can do.

Tap + Compare on two or three machines above, then hit this button to jump to a side-by-side breakdown at the bottom of the page.

Speeds shown are manufacturer-published maximums by print mode; real-world throughput varies with resolution, ink configuration, and media. * Dashed ink-channel dots depend on the ink configuration — tap or hover a dot to see which set unlocks it. Amcad & Graphics will model your actual workload before you buy.

Mimaki Ink Chemistry, Decoded

The ink family matters as much as the machine. Chemistry determines what substrates you can print, whether graphics survive a vehicle wrap's compound curves, and whether a print can be vacuum-formed after the fact. Tap any ink pill in the selector results for the same data, machine by machine.

Mimaki Buying Questions, Answered

Which Mimaki printer is best for signs and vehicle wraps?

For most sign shops the JV330 Series (eco-solvent roll-to-roll) or the CJV330 Series (integrated print and cut) are the strongest fits at 54 to 64 inches. If you also print backlits, labels, or thermoform work, the UCJV330 Series adds UV-LED instant cure and 5-layer day/night printing.

Do Mimaki printers qualify for the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty for vehicle wraps?

Yes. Mimaki eco-solvent and UV-curable inks are compatible with the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty Program — the most comprehensive warranty in the graphics industry. Certification is available with JV330 / CJV330 and JV200 / CJV200 Series printers running SS22, SS21, or BS4 inks, which boast the best weather resistance in the industry, and with UCJV330 Series printers running LUS-200, LUS-170, or LUS-175 inks, which deliver high stretchability and excellent conformability on curved surfaces.

How the program works

The warranty covers a complete system: a qualifying Mimaki printer, genuine Mimaki inks, 3M™ graphic films and laminates, and application by a 3M™ certified installer. Together the system is warranted for long-lasting, weatherproof graphics — up to 5 years (Zone 2) on vehicle work.

Coverage at a glance (Zone 2)
TransportationUp to 5 yearsRail, vehicles, trailers, and personal recreational utility vehicles.
Interior SignsUp to 8 yearsStationary indoor graphics not exposed to the elements — interior surfaces, glass, and signage.
Exterior SignsUp to 4 yearsStationary outdoor graphics — building exteriors, glass, and signage.
WatercraftUp to 2 yearsNon-regulated exterior boat surfaces applied above the water line.

Ink-by-ink eligibility and approval dates are marked on each ink card in the Mimaki Ink Chemistry, Decoded section above. BS4 and LUS-175 inks are sold in specific countries and regions.

  • Excellent conformability to curved surfaces

All five series support PICT and Mimaki Remote Access. BS4 and LUS-175 inks are sold in specific countries and regions.

What is the difference between eco-solvent and UV-LED ink?

Eco-solvent inks like SS21 and SS22 bite into vinyl and deliver proven multi-year outdoor durability with 3M MCS warranty coverage, but prints need outgassing time before lamination. UV-LED inks cure instantly under LED lamps, print on far more materials including films, paper, and rigid substrates, and go straight to finishing the same day.

Can one machine both print and cut labels and decals?

Yes. The CJV330 and CJV200 (eco-solvent) and UCJV330 and UCJV300 (UV-LED) print and contour-cut in one chassis, so kiss-cut labels, decals, and wrap panels come off the machine finished. Dedicated CG-series cutting plotters add capacity when volume grows.

What print width do I actually need?

Buy for your largest routine job, not your largest-ever job. 30-inch machines cover apparel transfer and compact label work, 54 to 64 inches is the sign-shop standard that handles vehicle panels and banners, and superwide 3.2-meter systems like the UJV55-320 and TS330-3200DS serve billboard, building wrap, and grand-format soft signage work.

What is the difference between the JV330 and CJV330?

Same 330-class print engine and SS21/SS22/BS4 ink options; the difference is finishing. The JV330 is print-only with an available XY slitter that trims finished panels automatically, while the CJV330 integrates contour cutting for decals, labels, and print-and-cut wrap graphics in one machine.

Which Mimaki flatbed should I choose — JFX200 or JFX600?

Bed size and speed. The JFX200-1213 EX is the 4x4-foot entry point, the JFX200-2513 EX takes the same engine to a full 4x8 board at 31.9 m²/hr, and the JFX200-2531 adds a dual-zone bed so you print one 4x8 zone while loading the other. The JFX600-2513 and JFX600-2531 are the production tier — up to 16 printheads and 200 m²/hr.

Can Mimaki UV printers print white and clear ink?

Most UV-LED models run White for opaque underbase on clear or colored media, and many add Clear for gloss or matte spot effects and 2.5D texture. Availability depends on the ink configuration you order — in the selector, dashed channel dots mark colors that depend on a specific ink set, and tapping a dot names the set that unlocks it.

What is DTF printing and which Mimaki machines do it?

Direct-to-film prints PHT50 pigment ink onto transfer film with hot-melt powder, then heat-presses onto cotton, blends, or polyester — no weeding, strong wash resistance, works on dark garments. The TxF150-75 is the 30-inch entry point and the TxF300 Series is the production step. For UV-DTF transfers onto hard goods like drinkware and cases, the UJV300DTF-75 is the dedicated platform.

What do I need for dye-sublimation apparel or soft signage?

A sublimation printer, transfer paper (or direct-to-fabric capability), and a heat press or calender. The TS200-1600 is the entry point, the TS330-1600 is the production standard, the Tiger600-1800TS is built for volume, and the TS330-3200DS prints both transfer paper and direct-to-textile at 3.2 meters for grand-format soft signage. Sublimation only bonds to polyester and poly-coated goods.

Can I print directly on acrylic, wood, metal, or glass?

Yes — that is what UV-LED flatbeds do. The UJF tabletop series handles giftware and industrial parts up to 6 inches thick, and the JFX flatbeds take full sheets and boards. PR-200 primer extends adhesion on difficult substrates like glass and metal, and LUS-350 ink survives thermoforming with up to 350 percent stretch after heating.

What is the Kebab option on UJF flatbed printers?

A rotary attachment that spins cylindrical objects under the printhead, so bottles, tumblers, and candles print 360 degrees around. It is available on the UJF tabletop flatbed family — a popular route into personalized drinkware without a dedicated cylinder press.

Do Mimaki printers come with RIP software?

Yes. Roll and flatbed printers include RasterLink7 (or RasterLink6 Plus on select models) for color management, layered White/Clear printing, and cut-path handling, and textile systems ship with TxLink for fabric workflows. FineCut/Coat9 plugs into Illustrator and CorelDRAW for cutter-bound artwork.

What can the 3DUJ full-color 3D printers make?

The 3DUJ-553 and compact 3DUJ-2207 print in more than 10 million colors with MH-100 modeling ink and SW-110 water-soluble support — supports dissolve in water instead of being broken off. They are used for full-color prototypes, architectural models, medical models, figurines, and scale product samples.

How fast are these printers in real production?

Published maximums are draft-mode numbers; plan capacity on Standard mode. As reference points at Standard: the JV330 class runs roughly 60 m²/hr on banners, the JFX600 produces about 33 4x8 boards per hour, and the TS330-3200DS holds 90 m²/hr in production. The selector's speed charts show Draft, Standard, and High Quality for every machine, translated into banners, boards, or garments per hour.
