Tell us what you make. The selector scores every North American Mimaki system against your work — categories, ink chemistry, media, and width — and ranks the machines Amcad & Graphics recommends.
The same first question a good equipment consultant asks: what will you actually sell? Select every application that applies — it carries the largest share of the match score, and you can come back and change it anytime.
Select all that apply, or skip straight to results — anything you leave open stays neutral in the score.
Ink Chemistry Any
The biggest fork in the road: chemistry decides what materials you can print, how the graphic survives outdoors or the wash, and what finishing steps you skip. Hover any option for the plain-English version — or leave it open and let your applications steer it.
Print Width Any
Buy for your largest routine job, not your largest-ever job. Oversized machines still qualify — they’re flagged as room to grow.
Media & Substrates Any
Pick the materials you’ll actually run. Any platform that physically can’t print a selected substrate is ruled out — the counts show what each choice leaves on the table.
Ink Chemistry Requirements Any
Dealbreaker capabilities that come from the ink configuration, not the printer chassis. Most platforms run several ink sets — a machine qualifies only if at least one of its configurations delivers every requirement you select.
Each card explains why it matched. The color dots show every channel the platform can be ordered with — tap or hover any dot for what it does. Tap any ink pill for the full chemistry breakdown; the ink set changes what the machine can do.
Speeds shown are manufacturer-published maximums by print mode; real-world throughput varies with resolution, ink configuration, and media. * Dashed ink-channel dots depend on the ink configuration — tap or hover a dot to see which set unlocks it. Amcad & Graphics will model your actual workload before you buy.

The ink family matters as much as the machine. Chemistry determines what substrates you can print, whether graphics survive a vehicle wrap's compound curves, and whether a print can be vacuum-formed after the fact. Tap any ink pill in the selector results for the same data, machine by machine.
Suspends pigments in a mild organic solvent that dries through evaporation, lightly biting into the substrate surface. The default chemistry for vinyl, banner, canvas, and photo paper — vehicle wraps and outdoor signage territory.
Flexible · high outdoor weatherability · 3M MCS Warranty certified · contains GBL.
Flexible · high outdoor weatherability · 3M MCS Warranty certified · GBL-free.
Flexible · good outdoor weatherability · 3M MCS Warranty certified · value chemistry.
Cures instantly under LED-UV light, printing on almost any substrate including non-porous materials. Family choice determines everything: hard inks resist scratching but crack if bent; flexible inks stretch for wraps; thermoforming ink stretches 350% under heat.
Hard and rigid · extreme scratch and chemical resistance · cracks if bent · next gen: ELH-100.
Flexible · stretches 170–200% · good weather resistance · next gen: ELS-120.
Flexible · balanced flexibility and adhesion.
Highly flexible · stretches over 170% · prevents cracking on curves · next gen: ELS-170.
Highly flexible · specialized adhesion for 3M and premium roll media.
Thermoforming · stretches up to 350% when heated · retains adhesion after cooling.
Uses water as the carrier and high heat to sublimate dye directly into polyester fibers — the print becomes part of the fabric itself — no raised layer to feel, crack, or peel, and the garment keeps its stretch and breathability.
Dyed into the fiber · no surface texture · permanent bond · excellent rub fastness.
Dyed into the fiber · exceptional washability · OEKO-TEX certified.
Printed onto PET film, coated with hot-melt adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto garments — covering cotton, blends, nylon, and dark fabrics that sublimation can't touch.
Flexible transfer layer · excellent adhesion and washability when cured with hot-melt powder.
For most sign shops the JV330 Series (eco-solvent roll-to-roll) or the CJV330 Series (integrated print and cut) are the strongest fits at 54 to 64 inches. If you also print backlits, labels, or thermoform work, the UCJV330 Series adds UV-LED instant cure and 5-layer day/night printing.
Eco-solvent ink bites into vinyl and coated media, producing durable, flexible graphics ideal for wraps and outdoor signage, but it needs outgassing time before lamination. UV-LED ink cures instantly under LED lamps, prints on a far wider range of coated and uncoated media, and is ready for finishing the moment it leaves the printer.
Yes. Mimaki's CJV200, CJV330, UCJV300, and UCJV330 Series print and contour-cut in a single device. For transfer decals on hard goods without weeding or jigs, the UJV300DTF-75 produces UV-DTF rub-on stickers.
Match the width to your largest routine job, not your largest-ever job. 30 to 32 inch machines cover apparel transfer and small decals, 54 to 64 inch covers most signage and wrap work, and 65 inch and above or a flatbed bed handles grand format and rigid board. Oversize capacity scores partial credit in our selector because it leaves room to grow.
